Privacy Policy

Muros ("we," "our," or "us") is a wallpaper discovery app for iOS. This privacy policy explains what information we collect through our app and website (muros.app), how we use it, and your rights.

We take privacy seriously. Muros is designed to work without an account — no account is required to browse and download wallpapers.

Waitlist email addresses. If you submit your email on our website to join the waitlist, we collect and store that address. We use it only to notify you when Muros launches on the App Store. We do not send marketing emails or share your address with third parties.

In-app analytics (TelemetryDeck). The Muros app uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, aggregated usage signals — for example, which features are used and crash frequency. TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-preserving: signals are hashed and cannot be traced back to an individual. No personal information, IP addresses, or device identifiers are stored. Local app data. Recent searches and preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device.

Muros requests access to your Photos library to save wallpapers to your device. We only write to Photos when you explicitly tap "Save" on a wallpaper. We never read, upload, or analyze your existing photos.

Muros requests permission to send push notifications. Notifications are used to alert you about new wallpapers. You can revoke notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Notification content is generated on-device and never sent to our servers.

Wallhaven.cc. Muros connects directly to the Wallhaven public API to retrieve wallpaper content. When you browse or search, your requests go directly from your device to Wallhaven's servers. Wallhaven's own terms of service apply to that content.

Apple App Store. Muros is distributed through the Apple App Store. The app is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Apple's privacy policy governs any data collected by the App Store itself during download.

Muros is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until Muros launches or you request deletion. To delete your email from our waitlist, contact us at muros.app@proton.me and we will remove it within 7 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use of Muros after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
